I applyed for a breeder name in autumn 2000 because we wanted our cats to have pure breed registered ragdoll kittens in the future. The educator name FIN*Kismarsis was accepted in FIFE 20 of September 2000. We haven´t had any rush with beginning the breeding activities, neither have we planned it to be anything large-scale. Our intention is to breed happy, healthy sociable and people-loving ragdoll cats for nice people, keeping in mind the idea that "happiness is found with the ragdoll".

Before starting off with the breeding activities our intention was also to bring some new ragdoll blood from other parts of the world. In the summer of 2001 we brought two male ragdoll kittens from the Ritzyrags cattery on the island of Vancouver in Canada. Rölli and Tanttu are happy future father cats.

This spring (2002) we had our first litter in 1st of May. We all are crazy with joy and the mother Nekku is practically glowing. In the father, Rölli I haven´t noted any glowing, though. We breed the babies with tenderness and care. They are not to be given to new families until they reach the age of 12 weeks. Nekku, Rölli and Tanttu are all FeLV and FIV tested.

Our home is in Jämsänkoski ,Central Finland. All our cats have been free to play a round the house and enjoy as much as they have wanted. In the future we will have to put the males into their own room. In the garden we have built a small outdoor area, so that the cats can go out as we watch out for them. Katti-Matti and Pami go out in harness too. Actually we have been planning to build an even bigger outdoor area in the summer..(as well as we have planned to renovate the rest of the house, the garden, the body and the mind...)
